Setting the table for this birthday tea held special significance for me because the china that I used was my Grandmother's (my Dad's Mom who passed when I was in High School)and the table linens and serving pieces, along with a side drop-leaf table, were recently given to me by my Maternal Grandmother. These were items from the house where my grandparents spent the last four decades and where my Mom and brother and I lived for 9 years. They definitely hold a lot of sentimental value for me and I was so excited to be able to use these special things to make Lauren's Birthday tea party extra fancy!
Setting napkins in laps...
First Course of sandwiches, fruit and cookies
Serving the second round of treats
The girls had time to play before and after the tea, and while we were waiting for the boys to return so that we could have cake and cupcakes (more sweets!!), the girls played this little stacking game with sugar cubes. They were so focused on their task!

Cake #2
I think that Lauren's (and my) expectations were met and exceeded at the tea party. The best part was having some SWEET girls here to share it with!!
