Stopper Family Reunion

Jason's mom is one of TWELVE siblings, and every year they gather for a family reunion which includes the many spouses, children, and now even grandchildren! The first time I met all of them, Jason's parents were hosting the reunion and Jason and I were newly engaged...no pressure, right?? By the end of the weekend, after many introductions and warm welcomes to the family, I could remember all of their names AND spouses names, so I figured I was doing pretty good. :-)

This year, Jason's cousin Ben and his wife Angie hosted the gathering at their home near Penn State. We had a wonderful time and the aunts and uncles were elated to finally meet our children, since we had been absent from the previous three reunions.

Lauren was a social butterfly the entire weekend. She entertained everyone and chatted with our cousins and played Abby and Emma dress-up dolls with her cousin (also named Emma)!! She got some time in the pool, even jumping off the diving board a couple times!

Josh wasn't feeling well and was grouchy from teething, but he still remained on the go (read: kept mom and dad on alert by the water!) and had fun playing with the pool toys. He thought Emma and CJ were a riot and he was happily entertained by them while we grabbed some food...

Pool time!

Jason's Dad (Gerry) FINALLY got a quilt of his own!! It was a total surprise and Audrey had been working on it for 6 months.

The Stoppers

It was great to catch up with our family and also to see our cousin Michelle, who was expecting her first baby. She has since then delivered a darling baby boy and we could not be more excited for them. Congratulations Michelle and Dustin!!
