Fun on the Fourth

We sure did enjoy spending time together as a family this fourth of July weekend. We didn't have any big plans, just a few days to relax at home. We spent Monday morning going on a short hike together and then stopped for a tasty treat downtown before heading home.

Lauren enjoyed "leading the way" with her walking stick in hand. She was an excellent adventure guide and enthusiastically pointed out everything that she noticed along the way. Josh was feeling sort of rough with some cold symptoms, but he was a good sport and didn't protest too much as Jason carried him through the woods.

Here are a few shots from our morning.

Looking at these pictures makes me feel so incredibly blessed. It is such a gift to be the wife and mother of these special people!! I thank God for creating and teaching and leading and comforting our sweet family. All of the goodness and love and joy and hope that we have comes from HIM, and it's made new every day....even when we inevitably fall short of His expectations.

That's why I have such a BIG attitude. :-)

Love the pictures and family fun! These are the times the kids will remember and still talk about when they are grown. (-:
